Artist Residential Spaces

Albert Cottages consists of two properties located in Albert College Park, Dublin 9 and St Patrick’s Lodge is located in St Patrick’s Park next to St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin City.

All properties comprise of two bedrooms, living area, kitchen and a small studio/work space.

Albert Cottages studios are available to rent for €650 per Calender month, for duration of twelve months. Refundable deposit of €650 is required.

St. Patrick’s Lodge is available for €700 per Calender month for one to three months. (Rent incudes utilities, broadband, satellite TV and waste collection – fair usage policy applies). Refundable deposit of €300 is required.

To apply for a residential studio please send a cover letter detailing the proposed usage of the studio and a work plan outlining ideas for the residency; current Curriculum Vitae; artists’ statement; documentation of work; and any special requirements, for example in terms of access. 

The application process for Albert Cottages Residential Spaces is now open for 2015-2016.

To apply for a residential studio please send a cover letter detailing your proposal, a work plan outlining ideas for the residency; the requested duration of your residency, a current Curriculum Vitae & artists’ statement as well as any supporting documentation relevant to the proposal. Include dates that you are looking for the space. Applications must be made in hard copy format only, without binding of any type, digital applications will not be accepted. Dublin City Council Arts Office recommends that all applicants consider the priorities and goals of the Arts Plan (http://dublincity.ie/ArtsPlan) when making their proposals.

Applications should be sent to Victoria Kearney, Dublin City Council Arts Office, The LAB, Foley Street, Dublin 1, and marked “Residential Spaces Open Call 2015”. All applications must be received by 5pm on Monday 8th June 2015. Late applications will not be accepted.

Dublin City Council

Dublin City Councils Cultural strategy focuses on the need support artistic practice, encourage cultural inclusion, develop cultural infrastructure, support the cultural economy and ensure that culture plays a central role in urban regeneration and local identity. Priority will be given to proposal’s that seek to support these strategic goals, as well as to proposals for longer engagements of six to eighteen months in duration. Shorter periods (not less than one month) may be considered on application.

Location

All three residential spaces are located in Dublin City Councils Parklands. St Patrick’s Lodge is located within St Patrick’s Park next to St Patrick’s Cathedral and within two minutes walk of  Dublin City  Councils Civic Offices at Wood Quay. Albert Cottages are located in Albert Park/ Hampstead Park, a 15 minute drive from the city centre.
